The Adivasi communities residing in Mokhada, just 100km from Mumbai, are facing significant challenges in breaking the cycle of poverty due to a lack of development, poor quality of basic services, and limited access to social protection and rights. The Adivasi tribal population constitutes about 95% of the population in Mokhada.

The Grameen First Development Foundation provides strategic multi-sectoral solutions. We dynamically respond through locally-led and long-term initiatives. We work closely with government programs to bridge the last-mile gaps that the government cannot reach. By focusing on a single rural taluka, Mokhada, we are able to effectively allocate resources to achieve the desired outcomes for change.

While we always prefer to direct individuals to available government schemes and be proactive, when monsoon season brings the unpredictable, we are here for the Mokhada community in times of urgent need.
Adivasi Lokseva Kendra supports tribal communities from Mokhada to access digital government social service schemes and opportunities. We also ensure that the community has all their basic identity and proof of income documents that enable them to apply for welfare schemes and government grants themselves.
MASK provides crucial medical care in rural Mokhada, offering check-ups and an array of healthcare services for men, women, and children. It also has a diagnostic center and dental healthcare to meet the community's health needs.
Greenshoots aims to empower Below Poverty Line (BPL) farmers in Mokhada through organic farming training, pesticide guidance, marketing support, and seed provision for agricultural value-added products, fostering rural sustainability and ecological health in India.
Love2Learn Sci-Ma strives to offer quality education for Adivasi children in high schools. We deliver hands-on science and math lessons, led by trained graduates utilizing science kits in Government Tribal Residential Schools. Our goal is to enrich their knowledge and foster a passion for continued education in the domain.
